I happened to be driving through Tennessee when the state became a big swimming pool. I'm lucky I got out. I spent the night in my car stranded in a town with no way out. I used an online topo map to find a safe elevation to park my car for the night. While I was trying to sleep in the car, the Tornado warning sirens sounded. It was a terrifying night.
