Why I Escaped Tennesse

Officials in Tennessee were urging people to stay off the roads. I was only in Tennessee because I was on the road. I considered staying put, in a hotel or something, but I decided to make my way out because I believed that even if the rain stopped, it would only get worse. All of the rainwater would make its way down hill until all of the roads were underwater.

By seeking higher ground while I was stranded and then poking around early in the morning for a moment when one of the roads out of town was finally above water, I was able to make a dash for the highway and hope for the best. As it turns out, I was both lucky and correct. Had I played it safe and stayed, I would still be there, because the roads are even worse now.
