And now to my Scottish-Canadian heritage via my father's mother, a family from Cape Breton.
My Scottish-Ancestors were loyalist landowners in Virginia. They fled to Nova Scotia after the American Revolution to remain in the service of the crown. There they functioned as harbour masters for more than a century.
